Analysis: United administrators rank 308th in state for average pay

Administrators in United Township High School District 30 earn an average of $105,072 per year, ranking 308th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 2.1% higher than in 2014 and 0.7% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 2.1% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Rock Island County school district enrolled 1700 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 155 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
