Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mercer County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Mercer County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rock Island Today.

The data shows that two men and one woman were released in Mercer County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Terry A. Pratt. He was convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2018 when he was 51 years old. He is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Mercer County municipality.
