Two Rock Island County residents in their fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on May 9, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 109 positive cases reported in Rock Island County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 21.5 percent of all cases in the county. Through May 9, Rock Island County has reported a total of 507 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 16 of which have ended with the victim's death.
