Rock Island home prices fall in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Rock Island fell by $8,000 while total sales increased by 451.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were 160 homes sold, with a median sale price of $95,500 - a 7.7% decrease over the $103,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 29 homes sold in Rock Island in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Rock Island for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,203, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
