The Moline-Coal Valley School District provided a public "Thank You" to the Chick-fil-A in Moline for helping MCV students raise fundraisers to benefit the district. In a Facebook post dedicated to the restaurant, the school district says that Chick-fil-A has helped to raise over $3,000 for the district in two separate fundraisers.
The post said, "The October fundraiser generated $1,000 for student needs related to remote learning. The funds were used to purchase remote learning equipment for students with special education needs. The December 2nd fundraiser generated $2,000 for Share Joys, with funds being used to clothe 300 MCV students in need. "
It also recognizes the restaurant for being a long-time supporter of the district athletics, clubs, and fundraisers. The district specifically cited the Challenge 5 attendance initiative, food donations, and other instances that the restaurant helped the school district.
