Rock Island County Mental Health Board Met May 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Minutes of the meeting of the Board that was held starting at 4:03 p.m. 

Present were: Allemeier, Marge 

Coolidge, John 

Bell, Marcy 

Darrow, Lili 

Clark, Beverly 

Munos, Brian, board president 

Puentes, Luis 

Pat Moreno, executive director 

Attending via teleconference: 

Absent: Lori Cole 

A quorum was present 

The meeting was called to order at 4:07 p.m.by Brian Munos. 

Motion made by Marge to approve the agenda. Seconded by John. Motion carried. 

Guest / visitors: None 

Motion made by Lili to approve the minutes from the March 17, 2021 meeting. Seconded by  Marge. Motion carried. 

Director’s report:  

• It appears there will be between $40,000 and $50,000 in unused funds. At this point the  Robert Young Center is underspending. This was too the case last year. 

• As of the May meeting, $531,000 remained in our budget. Spending/paying/reimbursing  agencies $150,000 - $180,000 monthly 

• Third quarter reports were received from all agencies. And billing is current. 

• To help us remain informed of the mission of funded agencies, more agency visits will be  scheduled. Once scheduled, the board will be informed of the details. 

• A reminder that certificates for the completion  

President’s Items:  

The slate for the board’s two elected positions was presented. It was, Brian Munos for president  and Beverly Clark for secretary. Motion made by Lili to accept the slate as presented. Seconded  by John. Motion carried. 

Motion made by Lili to approve the budget of 2,146,818 for agency request (includes $398,205  for the Robert Young Center’s new joint project with the R.I. County jail for jail mental health  response) and $110,481 for administration (total budget of 2,257,299). Seconded by Marcy.  Motion carried. 

Motion for adjournment made by Marge and seconded by Marcy. Meeting adjourned at 5:46 p.m. 

The next board meeting will be August 18, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
