Utility Billing Clerk

The City of Aledo is now accepting applications for the Utility Billing Clerk position at Aledo City Hall. This professional position provides clerical, administrative, and data processing work in the billing of utility and other public services which requires frequent interaction with the public.  

The position requires knowledge and abilities typically acquired through graduation from high school or GED with an Associate’s Degree in Office Professional Studies or related field preferred. Three to five years of increasingly responsible administrative and secretarial experience, preferably with the past three years working in a highly responsible position. Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office 2016 Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint programs. Rapid, accurate typing and proofreading skills required. Continual attention to detail with excellent command of the English language and grammar, business math, as well as, office practices and procedures. Communicates with a diverse group of callers and visitors.
