Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce Inc issued the following announcement on Oct. 1

IMEG Corp. has acquired PEDCO, a Cincinnati-based engineering firm. The Oct. 1 deal is the third acquisition of 2021 for IMEG, a national full-service engineering firm with 60 U.S. locations, including headquarters in the Quad-Cities.

Founded in 1981, PEDCO has been serving the Cincinnati and surrounding areas for over 35 years. The firm’s full engineering services have been applied to a variety of project types including the healthcare, science & technology, higher education, and workplace markets – along with full design services for the industrial market sector.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome PEDCO into our company and complete our second Ohio-based acquisition within a year,” said IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne. “This strategic opportunity blends our engineering design capabilities and expands our Ohio presence – as well as adds to our industrial team, which has been a growing market for IMEG.”

PEDCO CEO Mike Walsh said his team is excited to become a part of IMEG and help drive growth in the Ohio region. “We’re thrilled to join IMEG and looking forward to being able to expand the services we offer our existing clients,” he said. “Our firm’s culture blends well with IMEG’s client-centric approach, allowing us to leverage a broader base of market and technical expertise.”

Walsh will continue as Client Executive with IMEG. The firm will continue to operate out of its existing Cincinnati office, doing business as PEDCO, now IMEG.
