Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mercer County?

There were six offenders living in Mercer County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rock Island Today.

The data shows three men and three women were released in Mercer County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021, and the oldest was a 47-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Bailey A. Brown. She was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018 when she was 26 years old. She is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Mercer County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
