Report: Galva School District spent $11,369 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Galva Community Unit School District 224 was up 25.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Henry County school district spent $9,041 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,369 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 583 to 488 students over the same period.

Galva's spending in 2019-20 was 21.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
