Rock Island County Governance, Health and Administration Committee met Dec. 13.

Vice Chair Melissa Moreno called the meeting to order at 10:05 AM.

Ms Moreno made three calls for public comment with no response.

Reports to the Committee
University of Illinois Extension – Rachel Curry introduced herself she is a Watershed Outreach Associate. Karen Kinney County Clerk shared the vital record report for November.
Captain Darren Hart reported that in 2019 the County Board funded the P25 communication project along with Scott County. Today is the first day on the new radio system. It’s been a five year project that started back in 2017. For the next 30 days RI County will test the system on the Illinois side.

Approval for IDOT Amendment to Grant Agreement 5271 (CARES 2410-24058) Amendment No. OP-21-34-CARES A1 for term 01/20/20 to 06/30/2024 for $648,277.00 (Project Now)

D. Beck asked for Clarification, Chairman R. Brunk shared this is additional funding for an existing grant for Project Now’s rural transportation.

Consider Contract for Assessment Mapping and GIS Services Contract as budgeted
J. Boudi shared there are about 900 tax parcel maps for the county that were originally numbered with township parcel numbers. Those are no longer valid. We are now using 10 digit PIN numbers, which is consistent with all the counties within the state. The online parcel viewer will also be updated. Department will also be receiving some updated software.

D. Beck commented that she’s hopeful in the future this committee will review Rock Island County’s arrangements with the Waste Management Authority.
