Here are the minutes provided by the committee: Call to order and roll call

Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM. A roll call was taken.

Members present: Chairman L. Burns, E. Langdon, M. Burns, E. Sowards, R. Morthland, D. Adams, B. Westpfahl

Members absent: D. Clevenger

Others present: R. Brunk, J. Grafton, K. Davis, C. Przybyla, J. Massa, J. Boudi, A. Palmer

Public Comment

Chairman Burns made three calls for public comment. There were no requests for public comment.

Approval of the minutes from the May 9th, 2022 Public Works & Facilities Meeting Motion to approve D. Adams by seconded B. Westpfahl. A roll call was taken

Motion carried

Reports to the Committee

Mr. Boudi presented both Mr. Thorpe’s report and his own. He stated working on the tax parcel maps project and $21,000 received in recorder fee revenue.

Motion to approve: D. Adams. Seconded E. Langdon

A new roll call was established: E. Sowards, R. Morthland, D. Adams, E. Langdon, B. Westpfahl. – Yes Motion carried

Mr. Massa reported routine maintenance in the highway department and some crack sealing projects. There were also some new part-time mowers that would be starting in the next week.

He stated in May, an air conditioning recovery unit was purchased, and it was not forwarded to the committee due to timing. The cost was at $4,250.

There was a bridge projected that was delayed on CH 9 due to availability of the beams supplies. He hoped to get them in mid July.

Consider Architectural Services Proposal with Bray Architects for Renovation and Remodeling of the County Board Chambers

Consider Highway Items

Review and Award of Bids Received Friday, May 27th, 2022; Bowling Road District Pavement Replacement & Patching; Sec. 22-03000-04

Mr. Massa stated this was for concrete replacement and patching in Bowling township from McClintock Excavation in the amount of $174,364.10

Permission to close portion of County Highway 59, Loud Thunder Road in Illinois City for the Illinois City Fire Department Fundraiser

Mr. Massa explained that this was an annual request to the County to close a portion of Loud Thunder Road from 9 AM on Sat. Aug 13th to Sunday, Aug 14th at 1 AM. The sheriff’s office is contacted and this is a routine annual request.

Consider Motor Fuel Tax Resolution for County Highway 62; Ridgewood Road Mr. Massa explained this resolution was for Rebuild Illinois funds for resurfacing, and replacing culverts to use motor fuel tax funds.
