Q3 2021 Recap: 3 parolees from Rock Island County convicted of sex crimes set for release

There were three offenders convicted of sex crimes living in Rock Island County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rock Island Today.

The data shows two men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for sex crimes was 47. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced in 2009, and the oldest was a 50-year-old man sentenced in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robert D. Mosley Jr. He was convicted in 2009 when he was 17 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of sex crimes were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
