Galesburg, IL- Ray Estrada, Republican candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 17th District, released the following statement in response to incumbent Rep. Eric Sorensen’s extreme voting record:
“Local families are tired of extreme political views getting in the way of making real policy changes to protect our national security and bring down the costs of everyday goods,” said Ray Estrada.
Rep. Eric Sorensen has voted against funding the military, against unleashing American energy production, and against securing the southern border.
“Our national security should not be politicized,” said Estrada. “Between voting against funding for our military and limiting American energy production, we leave families not only vulnerable to world enemies but also left footing the bill for record-high gas prices. That’s affecting families at the gas pump and raising prices on our farmers and on basic items at the grocery store.”
