Mercer County High School had the highest enrollment among Mercer County schools, welcoming 378 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.5% of them were boys, and 49.5% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 94.2% of the student body at Mercer County High School.

Among the five schools in Mercer County, Apollo Elementary School ranked second in enrollment with 310 students, while Mercer County Junior High School welcomed 200 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.
