NEW BUSINESS
1. Probationary Appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Zach Slavish (number eighteen candidate) on the current Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register has successfully completed his background investigation and accepted a contingent employment offer.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the probationary appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic Zach Slavish effective January 8, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
2. Full-time Appointment of Lieutenant (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Lieutenant Kory Heston will complete his probationary period effective December 18, 2023.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the full-time appointment of Lieutenant Kory Heston effective December 18, 2023; pending no concerns develop between today’s date and December 18, 2023.
