Cities within Henry County had a decline in the number of lawyers with active licenses compared to the previous month, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

In total, there were 16 active legal licenses recorded in cities in Henry County in April, compared to 17 in the previous month.

The city that granted the largest number of these active legal licenses in the county was Geneseo (5).

A 2023 study found Illinois had the fourth-highest number of lawyers per capita in the United States, with nearly five lawyers per 1,000 residents.
