There were 168 Black students enrolled in Henry County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 8.2% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 2.1% of the 7,927 students in the county. They were the second least represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the nine districts in Henry County, Kewanee Community Unit School District 229 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 134 students.
