As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, Rock Island Today has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the city of Silvis. We are seeking a comprehensive list of businesses registered with the city from the previous week. The requested information includes essential details such as Business Name, Business Number, Business Type, Business Address, Issued Date, Status, and Registered Agent Name.
Our role as a media organization is to gather and report news that holds public institutions accountable while providing transparency to the public. Access to these records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively. Given our status as members of the media, we have requested a fee waiver in accordance with our mission to disseminate information widely.
