The Moline traffic committee recently met to consider parking issues.
The Moline Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Committee met Tuesday in the Public Works Conference Room #1 to discuss several requests for adjustments to parking throughout the city.
The committee was expected to consider a resident request for a two-hour parking limit at 2401 40th Ave., to prevent large trucks from parking for longer periods; a resident request to correct line-of-sight interference by placing "no parking here to corner" signs on the north side of 23rd Avenue B at 27th Street; and a request to allow parking on the west side of 48th Street north of 12th Avenue.
The committee also revisited its previous recommendation to mark sharrows on a segment of 34th Street, following an engineering review that did not support the plan.
Sharrows are arrows generally painted in the middle of a lane to mark that a particular road or lane is shared with bicycle traffic.
