The Rock Island park board approved more than $151,000 in supply purchases for the year ahead on Feb. 16.
The purchases include $110,546 in turf chemicals, $9,885 in janitorial supplies, $8,335 in seeds and $23,113 in trash can liners from Bi-State.
In addition, the board approved $1,305 in golf supplies from JD Landscape and $986 in golf supplies from QC Power.
Finally, the board approved the printing of a parks guidebook and preliminary plans for a learning center at Highland Springs Golf Course.
