The Moline-Coal Valley School District No. 40 Board of Education met Oct. 24 to purchase computer hardware.

Recommended Motion: that the Board of Education approve the 2016 Levy Resolution - Estimate of Property Taxes for the 2017-2018 school year as presented in Attachment No. 4.

7. Computer Hardware Purchase

Recommended Motion: that the Board of Education approve the purchase of 1,500 LEAD Moline Chromebooks for the graduating class of 2021 and 2025 from Heartland Business Systems (Lisle, IL) at a cost of $285,810. See Attachment No. 5.

8. First Reading of Revised Board of Education Policies Section 8:70 - Accommodating Individuals with Disabilities, 8:95 - Parental Involvement, 8:100 - Relations with Other Organizations and Agencies, 8:110 - Public Suggestions and Concerns, and 8:120 - Criminal Background Investigation (CBI) Requirement for Volunteer Coaches

Recommended Motion: that the Board of Education accept for First Reading Board of Education policies 8:70 - Accommodating Individuals with Disabilities, 8:95 - Parental Involvement, 8:100 - Relations with Other Organizations and Agencies, 8:110 - Public Suggestions and Concerns, and 8:120 - Criminal Background Investigation (CBI) Requirement for Volunteer Coaches as presented in Attachment Nos. 6-10.
