The City of Moline has announced the return of its Holiday Meal Voucher Program, aimed at supporting income-qualified households during the upcoming holiday season. The initiative is organized in collaboration with Hy-Vee (Avenue of the Cities).

The distribution event is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Moline City Hall, located at 619 16th Street in Moline, Illinois.

Vouchers will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis after applications are reviewed. Quantities are limited and assistance will be provided while supplies last. Each approved household will receive eight Hy-Vee vouchers valued at $27.50 each, totaling $220 in food support. These vouchers can only be used for food purchases; they cannot be redeemed for gas, alcohol, tobacco products, prescriptions or money orders, and no cash back will be given.

Applicants must bring specific documentation to verify their eligibility: a valid government-issued ID with current address; proof of address from within the past 60 days such as a utility bill or official correspondence; and proof of income through documentation like an SNAP/EBT card or recent paystubs.

Eligibility is determined based on household size and income limits set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Rock Island County for 2025. For example, the maximum qualifying income for a four-person household is $71,600.

For more information about program requirements or questions about eligibility, residents can contact the city at 309-524-2044 or email housing@moline.il.us.
