The city of Moline was awarded $192,600 from the Illinois Housing Development Authority to assist elderly and disabled homeowners in the area.
The city applied for a Home Accessibility Grant, which was developed to create a program to help ease the stress of home repairs for retired and handicapped homeowners and renters. The money will go toward making accessibility modifications, improvements and repairs.
The roll out will commence this spring. For more information on the Community Development Housing opportunities, programs and the city of Moline, visit http://moline.il.us/ or call K.J. Whitley at 309-524-2044.
