Augustana's Lohmeier gets postgraduate scholarship from NCAA

Augustana women's soccer player Hannah Lohmeier has won an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, according to a report on the school's athletic website.

The grant, which is worth $7,500, was won by 29 female student-athletes across all divisions of the NCAA. She is the 38th recipient of the award from Augustana.

Lohmeier was a two time Academic All-America selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America. She is a biochemistry major with a 3.99 grade-point average. Last summer, she worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, under a research fellowship. She also presented a paper at the American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week, according to the report.

On the field, she had 15 goals in her career, including a team-high six last season, when she was team captain. She also earned All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin honors last season and made the academic all-conference team for the fourth consecutive season.
