Family Resources, a non-profit helping families, children and individuals, is moving its Muscatine office on July 31, according to a release.
Family Resources will close its current location at 119 Sycamore Street, Ste. 200, after regular hours on July 26 and reopen on July 31 in a former strip mall space at 801 Oregon Street that has been renovated by Muscatine Downtown Investors. The organization noted that the new facility will offer better security and parking and a fresh look.
“Having served the Muscatine community since 1969, Family Resources is thrilled to continue to serve the community in a professional atmosphere that will provide easier access and parking for clients,” President Mary Macumber Schmidt said in the press release.
Family Resources has multiple branches in Iowa and Illinois, offerng counselling and therapy and behavioral health intervention services, as well as sheltering and housing services and child welfare emergency services. It is also a resource for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, human trafficking, homicide and other violent crimes.
The organization is planning an open house for its new Muscatine office later this year.
