Quad Cities PBS affiliate WQPT is looking for a few good men and women storytellers.

Veterans and current military members are being invited to share "Stories of Service" day on Nov. 11 as part of the Library of Congress’s Veterans History Project, according to a press release from the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce.

“We encourage those participating to bring in photos and letters to be scanned and included with their 30-minute recorded session,” Mary Pruess, general manager of WQPT, said in the release.. “It is our hope to record at least 15 stories during the Nov. 11 event.”

U.S. Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL)

The station participated in the project in 2015, when it sent 37 service member stories to the Library of Congress via U.S. Reps. Cheri Bustos (D-IL) and Dave Loebsack (D-IA), the release said.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities in Moline, where the station is based.
