The Illinois State Police (ISP) is seeking a new logo in anticipation of its 100th anniversary in 2022.
The contest is open to current ISP employees, retirees and members of the community, according to a department release. The logo must be professional looking and highlight the present and past of the department while promoting the 100th anniversary. The logo can be in color or black and white.
First-, second- and third-place logo winners will be chosen and will receive a specialized ISP patch card and a certificate signed by the director of the ISP, according to the release. The first-place winner will receive $500, the second-place winner will receive $200 and the third-place winner will receive $100.
The department will use the chosen logo on a variety of commemorative products, including patches, car decals, challenge coins, and collectible memorabilia, according to the release.
Logos must be original and produced solely by the contest entrant. Logos cannot contain copyrighted material or licensed images that have been previously published, according to the release. Entries must be able to be scaled to large- and small-format printing.
Logos can be submitted online, and finished paintings or drawings on canvas of the logos can be delivered to the ISP Public Information Office at 801 S. Seventh St., Suite 1100A, Springfield, IL, 62703.
