Through Dec. 22, the downtown branch, at 401 19th St., will host a card-making workshops for those who want to make holiday cards for senior residents at the Fort Armstrong assisted living facility in Rock Island. The workshops will run during regular library hours in the children's room and go to Fort Armstrong on Dec. 22, the release said.

Also, the libraries' regular activities will reflect the holidays. The list of activities includes Petite Picasso story and art times, Toddler Tale storytimes and Play and Grow times. The libraries' events are free. Some activities may require online registration; look for the book symbol on the calendar for indications of required registration.
