Village of Port Byron Board of Trustees met November 6.

The Board Meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Pro Tem Gerry Meade at 6:00 p.m. on Monday November 6th, 2017.

Trustee Gerry Meade said he is filling in for Mayor, who is vacationing. Also stated that he felt the meeting earlier with downtown business owners and operators was very productive and helpful.

L Dilauro talked about the TIF, and that it will end in 10 years; he feels the Village has not devoted enough to business and residential development; Trustee Wells felt the TIF Committee should address potential residential incentives

1) Trustee Wells said many families came downtown to enjoy the Halloween festivities, including the movie
b. Report on Old Gazebo
1) Roof repair is underway, continued work is dependent on weather
c. Christmas Walk
1) Village portion of Christmas Walk is from 5-8pm on December 1st
2) Library has additional activities going on all day, as well as a bit on Saturday
d. Skating Rink
1) Decision has been made to purchase
2) Insurance is fine, just need to determine setup now
e. Realtor’s 6 Month Contract Extension for marketing Academy property
Trustee Wells made a motion to extend the contract to John Corelis, Realtor, to market the old Academy property, for an additional 6 months, seconded by Trustee Lindley

a. Removal of boat dock bid
b. Don Loy felt that the boat dock should be altered so Village personnel could install and remove boat dock themselves
Trustee Wells made a motion to approve paying Superior Seawall to remove Village boat docks, at a cost of $2900, seconded by Trustee Bitler

Trustee Bitler made a motion to approve paying Cummins Inc, at a cost of $1726.93, to service the North Station generator, seconded by Trustee Sloan, Budget Item #527-41

1) Pump has been leaking badly, needed repair on emergency basis
Trustee Sloan made a motion to approve repair from MVP, at a cost of $2909.50, for repair of lift station pump, seconded by Trustee Oney
