Analysis: Kewanee pays $7.49 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Kewanee Community Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88.2 percent of the $81,597 the Kewanee Community Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.49 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Kewanee contributed $71,994 to the fund, which saw a $13,087 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $9,603, or 11.8 percent, in 2016.
