Report: Colona spent $7,520 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Colona School District 190 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $7,121 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,520 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 492 to 449.

Colona's spending in 2016-17 was 42 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
