State Rep. Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) will hold "traveling office hours" at a number of upcoming events.

From 9 a.m. to noon July 31, she'll attend the Job Fair at the Scottish Rite Temple, 1800 Seventh Ave. in Moline.

On Aug. 8, she'll be at the Senior Fair being held at the New Hope Church, 2305 Seventh Ave. in Moline, from 9 a.m. to noon.

And from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 8, she'll be available to talk to constituents at the Children's Safety Expo at Glenview Middle School, 3100 Seventh Ave. in East Moline.

McCombie was a chief co-sponsor of the AFSCME Back Pay bill (HB4290), which was designed to ensure that employees were given money that they earned but had not been paid. To date, McCombie's bill accounts for $63 million that is owed to nearly 25,000 workers. The appropriation was finally included in the recent budget that was signed by Gov. Bruce Rauner on June 4.

McCombie also supported SB1905, which was meant to protect workers from "right-to-work" ordinances that lead to lower wages while offering them more workplace protections.
