Rock Island County rejected a referendum on the Nov. 6 ballot.
Taxpayers in Rock Island County voted against a referendum for the City of Silvis Proposition asking if the City Clerk for the City of Silvis, IL should be appointed rather than elected.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, the City of Silvis Proposition had 739 votes in favor and 1,872 against.
