Report: Alwood spent $13,171 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Alwood Community Unit School District 225 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $12,081 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,171 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 425 to 395.

Alwood's spending in 2017-18 was 1.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
