Report: Colona spent $7,857 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Colona School District 190 is up 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $7,256 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,857 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 498 to 468.

Colona's spending in 2017-18 was 41.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
