Report: East Moline spent $11,731 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at East Moline School District 37 is up 8.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $10,823 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,731 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2775 to 2738.

East Moline's spending in 2017-18 was 12 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
