Report: Sherrard spent $9,287 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sherrard Community Unit School District 200 is up 6.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $8,743 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,287 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1578 to 1464.

Sherrard's spending in 2017-18 was 30.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
