Coal Valley (Rock Island County) home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Coal Valley in Rock Island County rose by $25,200 while total sales decreased by 10.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 44 homes sold, with a median sale price of $176,700 - a 16.6% increase over the $151,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 49 homes sold in Coal Valley in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Coal Valley for 2017 was $3,396. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,436. This marks an decrease of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
