Rock Island home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Rock Island rose by $42,233 while total sales decreased by 82.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 65 homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,900 - a 101.4% increase over the $41,667 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 366 homes sold in Rock Island in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Rock Island for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,131, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
