Hampton home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Hampton fell by $148,333 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $76,667 - a 65.9% decrease over the $225,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Hampton in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Hampton for 2017 was $3,057. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,091. This marks an decrease of 1.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4%.
