a. Motion to approve an estimate from Cummins Sales and Service in the amount of $1,656.06 to replace multiple clamps, hoses, belts, gaskets and do miscellaneous improvements to generator located at Pump House B.

6. Correspondence:

a. Anonymous letter from a resident in Merry Oaks regarding the John Deere Golf Classic.

b. Press Release from UTHS regarding an Open House to showcase the Student Life Addition renovations, to be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m. Guided tours of the renovated space will be offered until 6:00 p.m.

c. “Tax & Business Alert” – Carpentier, Mitchell, Goddard & Co., LLC. – August 2019

d. Review – Illinois Municipal League – August 2019

7. Meetings / Conferences:

a. Fred Pryor – Payroll Law, one day seminar. Friday, August 23, 2019 – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Village Clerk, Karen Hopkins will attend.

b. Labor Day Celebration Breakfast – 32nd Annual Mayors, City, County, State & Federal Officials Breakfast. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline. Breakfast at 7:30, program at 8:00.

c. 2019 IML Annual Conference, September 19-21, 2019 at the Chicago Hilton in Chicago, Illinois.

Registration begins June 3, 2019 – Village President has approved D.C.A.S., Nick Gottwalt to attend. Total Cost $1,270.00.

d. Upper Mississippi River Conference, October 23-24, 2019 at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center, Moline, Illinois. – D.C.A.S., Nick Gottwalt will attend.

e. Quad Cities Chamber Annual Celebration presented by TBK Bank at The Rust Belt, August 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. cost is $45.00 per person.
