The Rock Island County Republican Central Committee is holding its first meeting of 2020 on Jan. 16 at GOP headquarters in Rock Island.
The hour-long event is open to the public and kicks off at 6 p.m. Regularly scheduled meetings are held every third Thursday of the month.
Drue Mielke serves as Rock Island County Republican Party Chairman, and the group states as its mission “supporting fiscally conservative candidates that stand up for our constitutional rights for office at the city, county, township, state and federal levels of government.”

On its Facebook page, the organization also highlights its work in managing the affairs of the GOP within the boundaries of Rock Island County and its work in promoting voter registration, educating voters and recruiting qualified Republican candidates to seek elected office at all levels of government.
