Village Of Carbon Cliff Board of Trustees met Aug. 4.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

5. VILLAGE PRESIDENT'S AGENDA

a. Informational – D.O.C.A.S. Nick Gottwalt is preparing eighteen Resolutions, one for each property, authorizing the sale of surplus real estate to be carried about by Village Staff and approved by the Village Board. These will be ready to pass at the August 18th Board Meeting. A copy of Ordinance 2012-30 is included in your packet. This ordinance allows the village to dispose of real estate property. 

b. Informational – Display panel has gone down at Treatment Facility #1 (Pump House A). Dan Clark has contacted EFI to come out and repair the display. They will be out Saturday, August 1st. At this time, we do not know if the display is bad and needs to be replaced or if the unit can simply be reset and reconfigured. 

c. Informational – Midco Diving came out on Friday, July 31, 2020. They have completed the inspection and cleaning of the tower. The report and video will be sent to us shortly. While on site Dan authorized them to repair the weather strip, bolts, and latch handle for a cost of $450.00. This will be added to the final invoice. They also noted that a vent was beginning to show signs of rust and should be repaired. They will provide us with a quote for cost of repair.

6. CORRESPONDENCE

a. Letter dated July 24, 2020 from Mediacom Communications Corporation. Mediacom’s contract to carry the NFL Network and NFL RedZone channels expires on July 31, 2020. At this time, we do not have permission from the NFL to carry those channels beyond that date. Unless a new agreement is reached, Mediacom will be required to remove both channels from our lineup on August 1, 2020. 

b. Splash – American Water Works Association. Summer 2020 

c. Review – Illinois Municipal League. August 2020

7. MEETINGS / CONFERENCES

a. Crime Free Multi-Housing Program. Bloomington Police Department. September 17 & 18, 2020. Cost is $210.00.
