Cordova Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2018 - 44.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cordova included 13 fires - four structure fires and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $110,000 in fire loss - or about $8,462 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Cordova Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $430,378 in 2018.
