Aledo Fire Protection District responded to 27 calls in 2018 - 28.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Aledo included 22 fires - 12 structure fires, three vehicle fires and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $276,500 in fire loss - or about $12,568 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Aledo Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $376,511 in 2017.
