Incumbent Tony McCombie has won her reelection bid for District 71 House seat and thanked voters for their support.
“THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!,” McCombie wrote on her Facebook page. “Tonight’s results indicate that the families of the 71st believe that I will continue to work across the aisle to bring political and structural reform.”
McCombie thanked her team and reassured her constituents that she will continue to fight for her district.
“I promise to continue to advocate for common sense solutions for the state’s most pressing problems. A special thanks to those that fought for this victory and to those that continue to believe that my voice will bring positive results to Illinois. GREAT JOB TEAM!!!” she wrote.
Democratic Candidate Joan Padilla, was vying for McCombie’s seat.
