The Regular Council of the City of Geneseo was called to order at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:

5 Chamber of Commerce Report

Director Sullivan gave the Chamber of Commerce update for January 2021.

6 City Engineering Report

Greg Ryckaert gave the engineering report:

The Geneseo Creek Study is underway and IMEG is gathering field information and mapping for analysis. A pre-construction meeting was held with Miller Construction on the NE Drainage project which will start with tree removal. The Ash Street lift station project is waiting on equipment and IMEG anticipates the project starting in early February 2021. The Cherry Street lift station is waiting on permit issuance by the EPA to Bear Development and there are pending easements from farmers for the force main.

City Ordinance allows members of the Public to speak and give input up to 3 minutes during Public Comment, there can be no debate or action by the City Council at this time.

9 City Council Comments

Alderman Wachtel commented that he liked how the minutes for the meetings were being completed, his concerns regarding the State's covid related shutdowns/restrictions, and his concerns regarding the State legislature's law enforcement reform measures being actively considered in Springfield and how they might negatively impact our law enforcement community.

10 Finance Director Comments

Finance Director Matthews gave the Treasurer's update.

10.1. Treasurer's Report, Budget Book, and Capital Asset Reports as Submitted. Brett Barnhart moved, seconded by Craig Arnold, Motion to approve the Treasurer's Report, Budget Book, and Capital Asset Reports as submitted.

Alderman Barnhart gave credit to IT Director Griswold for assisting a local business that was recently vandalized. Griswold helped pull video for the investigation into the crime.

Administrator Hollenkamp made a correction to previously stated MFT numbers, the correct figures FY20 is $194,000 and the 6-month budget is $41,000.
