City of Moline City Council met March 23

Council Meeting: The City Council meeting came to order at 3:55 p.m. The Council met in special session in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Pledge: The Council and audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Invocation: Alderman Schoonmaker gave an Invocation.
Roll Call: Roll call was taken with Mayor Acri, Aldermen Williams, Parker, Wendt, Potter, Moyer, Schoonmaker, Waldron and Berg present. Absent: None.
Approval of Remote Electronic Attendance
Alderman Moyer, seconded by Alderman Waldron, moved to approve the remote electronic attendance of Aldermen Parker, Wendt, Schoonmaker and Berg. Motion passed on roll call with the following vote: ayes: Aldermen Schoonmaker, Waldron, Berg, Williams, Parker, Wendt, Potter and Moyer; nays: none.

Resolutions
1. Council Bill/Resolution 1070-2021
A Resolution approving and accepting proposed changes to prior contract language as agreed to by and between the negotiators for the City of Moline and the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 1132, relating to wages, hours of work and certain other conditions of employment, for the contract term January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2022; and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and attest to an agreement incorporating said changes with the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 1132, relating to wages, hours of work and certain other conditions of employment.
Approved. Alderman Waldron, seconded by Alderman Wendt, moved to approve Council Bill 1070-2021 Motion carried on roll call with the following vote: ayes: Aldermen Schoonmaker, Waldron, Berg, Williams, Parker, Wendt, Potter and Moyer; nays: none.
Executive Session:
Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Waldron, moved for Executive Session, for the purpose of discussion of Collective Negotiating Matters-5 ILCS 120/2(C)(2), Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees-5 ILCS 120/2(C)(1). Motion carried on roll call with the following vote: ayes: Aldermen Schoonmaker, Waldron, Berg, Williams, Parker, Wendt, Potter and
Moyer; nays: none.
City Council convened in Executive Session at 4:00 p.m., and reconvened in open session at 8:59 p.m. Mayor Acri adjourned the special Council meeting at 8:59 p.m.
