How many patents granted in Moline in week ending Aug. 8?

There were four patents granted in Moline in the week ending Aug. 8, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is five less than the week before. Patents included an ultra-wideband radio frequency tracking for determining and controlling positioning error of an implement on a work vehicle.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending Aug. 8 belonged to Deere & Company who filed in Jan. 23, 2018.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
